Generally when Irish people ask how you are, they expect you to say “fine, thanks” or “great, thanks” – we don’t want the customer to start fretting that you may end up leaving their project because you are unwell. It causes unnecessary anxiety with a customer.

We need to keep phone conversations as perky and upbeat as possible.
